The town of Cañada del Real (Michoacán) belongs to the municipality of Queréndaro. There are 41 inhabitants and it is 2,177 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Cuitzeo del Porvenir is 54 minutes away by car (53 km).

The locality was formerly known as Cañada Otzumatlán, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2011.
