The town of Las Minas belongs to the municipality of Atlatlahucan (State of Morelos). There are 2,211 inhabitants and it is 1,449 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Tlayacapan is 18 minutes away by car (15 km). It is the most populated town in the position #6 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Campo Meclapa. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
