The town of Los Mogotes belongs to the municipality of Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán (State of Oaxaca). There are 27 inhabitants and it is 1,521 meters altitude. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #33 in terms of number of inhabitants.
This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Camino Antiguo a Coyotepec. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2013.
