The town of Barrio el Ruso belongs to the municipality of Jocotitlán (State of Estado de México). There are 1,039 inhabitants and it is 2,569 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Villa del carbón is 49 minutes away by car (42 km). It is the most populated town in the position #18 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as El Ruso. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
