The town of Barrio de Trojes belongs to the municipality of Ixtlahuaca (State of Estado de México). There are 614 inhabitants and it is 2,530 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Villa del carbón is 42 minutes away by car (39 km). It is the most populated town in the position #45 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Trojes, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
