The town of Ayacatzintla belongs to the municipality of Metztitlán (State of Hidalgo). There are 127 inhabitants and it is 1,287 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Metztitlán is 27 minutes away by car (19 km). It is the most populated town in the position #43 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Ayacazintla, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2002.
