Tekom is a Municipality of 3100 inhabitants, placed in the State of Yucatán, with a fertility rate of 2.68 children per woman. 1.48% of the population migrated from outside the State of Yucatán. 99.52% of the population is indigenous, 91.72% of the inhabitants speak one indigenous language, and 18.11% speak that indigenous language, but not Spanish.
