Tenancingo is a Municipality of 11763 inhabitants, placed in the State of Tlaxcala, with a fertility rate of 2.39 children per woman. 16.78% of the population migrated from outside the State of Tlaxcala. 12.53% of the population is indigenous, 4.47% of the inhabitants speak one indigenous language, and 0.02% speak that indigenous language, but not Spanish.

89.18% of the inhabitants of Tenancingo are Catholic, 45.88% are economically active and, within this active population, 95.71% are employed. Additionally, 98.28% of the dwellings have piped water and 10.52% have Internet access.
