The town of Tlaolantongo is located in the Municipality of Jopala (in the State of Puebla). There are 1,002 inhabitants. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #5 in terms of number of inhabitants. Tlaolantongo is at 274 meters of altitude.
The locality was formerly known as San Pedro Tlaolantongo, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2014.

The town of Tlaolantongo is located at 13.6 kilometers from Chicontla, which is the most populated locality in the municipality, in the Southwest direction.
