The place of Morelos is inside the municipality of Coyomeapan (in the State of Puebla). There are 128 inhabitants. In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #32 of the ranking. Morelos is at 2,325 meters of altitude.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Colonia Morelos. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
