The town of Abasolo is located in the Municipality of Socoltenango (in the State of Chiapas). There are 203 inhabitants. It is the most populated town in the position #21 of the whole municipality. Abasolo is at 607 meters of altitude.

The locality was formerly known as 28 de Septiembre, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
