The town of Zacoalpan is located in the Municipality of Ometepec (in the State of Guerrero). There are 5,412 inhabitants. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #2 in terms of number of inhabitants. Zacoalpan is at 188 meters of altitude.
This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Zacualpan. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
