The town of Rancho El Portillo belongs to the municipality of Tlaxco (State of Tlaxcala). There are 7 inhabitants and it is 2,679 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Tlaxco is 22 minutes away by car (15 km). It is the most populated town in the position #91 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Rancho del Portillo. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2003.
