The town of El Pollín belongs to the municipality of Bácum (State of Sonora). It is the most populated town in the position #70 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Granja el Pollín. The Mexican census of 2020 decided to declare this community as uninhabited.
