The town of El Xothí belongs to the municipality of Chilcuautla (State of Hidalgo). There are 848 inhabitants and it is 1,845 meters altitude. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #9 in terms of number of inhabitants.
The locality was formerly known as Xothí, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
