The town of El Potrillo belongs to the municipality of Guerrero (State of Chihuahua). There are 2 inhabitants and it is 2,155 meters altitude. In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #431 of the ranking.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as El Carmen (El Altar del Rosario). The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2016.
