The town of Chintipan (Hidalgo) belongs to the municipality of Huehuetla. The Magical Town of Pahuatlán is 79 minutes away by car (58 km). It is the most populated town in the position #69 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Chiltipan. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
