The town of Los Panes is located in the Municipality of Cacahoatán (in the State of Chiapas). There are 24 inhabitants. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #96 in terms of number of inhabitants. Los Panes is at 471 meters of altitude.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Cacahoatán. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
