The place of El Garabato is inside the municipality of Jalpa (in the State of Zacatecas). There are 12 inhabitants. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #136 in terms of number of inhabitants. El Garabato is at 1,419 meters of altitude.
This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as El Tranchete. In the year 2019, the locality changed its name.
