The place of Las Palmas is inside the municipality of Zempoala (in the State of Hidalgo). There are 85 inhabitants. In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #40 of the ranking. Las Palmas is at 2,560 meters of altitude.

The locality was formerly known as Ejido de Tzacuala, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2016, the locality changed its name.
