The place of La Reserva is inside the municipality of Nopala de Villagrán (in the State of Hidalgo). There are 45 inhabitants. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #49 in terms of number of inhabitants. La Reserva is at 2,309 meters of altitude.

The locality was formerly known as Batha del Rincón, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
