The locality was formerly known as Damoshu, but changed its name a few years ago. The community's inhabitants joined those of Santa Ana Jilotzingo in the year 2016. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.

In addition, it is located at 5.7 kilometers from Santa Ana Jilotzingo, which is the capital of the municipality, in the Southwest direction.
